BMP Header Viewer is a small Windows application that displays the headers and metadata of Windows Bitmap files of almost all formats.

The application also has the following features:

- Displays the image in a small window (via Windows GDI or Video for Windows)
- Supports the alpha channel (transparent display on a checkerboard pattern)
- Supports ICC color profiles and color management via ICM
- Outputs simple color profile tag data (if it can be displayed in a single line)
- Loads passthrough images (BI_JPEG, BI_PNG) to print them
- Supports custom DIB formats (video-compressed bitmaps)
- Supports the clipboard formats CF_HDROP, CF_DIB and CF_DIBV5 (with support for color profiles)
- Allows you to load JPEG files and export them as BMP files (with transfer of the color profile)
- Allows the ICC color profile of a BMP file to be exported
- The source code is available as open source on GitHub
